Did you know? From 1st January 2015, as per government legislation from the Animal Welfare Act 2013, ALL privately owned dogs will need to be micro-chipped.
Following the success of over 20 FREE micro-chipping events held last year which saw over 3,000 dogs and cats, DSPCA are delighted to announce that the next FREE event will take place in DSPCA Shelter in Mount Venus Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16 on Saturday, 18th January from 10am to 3pm.
The process is simple and takes just 5 minutes.
STEP 1: Upon arrival in DSPCA you will be greeted by a volunteer who will take your pet’s information details (name, breed and colour).
STEP 2: You will then be assigned to a micro-chipping station where a vet / vet nurse will micro-chip your pet.
STEP 3: On exiting the station another volunteer will explain your micro-chip details.
And then you have peace of mind in the event of your pet ever going missing.
Parking is free and you are more than welcome to visit our shelter afterwards to see some of our wonderful animals!
